School Girls

Students from an all girls' school, perhaps in a fantasy setting or in a real-world setting in the recent past where ties and long skirts were still required for school uniforms (if so the school would have to be more progressive and integrated that most of that time, since the girls represent different ethnicities).

Nowadays alot of people associate school girls in uniforms with Japanese manga or anime where students in junior high through high school have to wear them. I think about that too, but when I drew this picture I had only in mind my all-girls' uniform wearing high school where I had seen pictures of the past dresses (beginning in the late 1800s where they had those huge flowery hats and those really really long skirts and long sleeves even in summer). Consequently, my parents had to wear uniforms in junior high and high school too, and they had to take entrance exams; it happens in all the East Asian countries.
