I have this blank board book I picked up at a craft store some time ago, sitting there and waiting for a good project to come along so it could be used. I've now hit upon the perfect thing. My cousin and his wife had a baby boy at the beginning of this year and I want to make this little book for him - something cute and visually appealing but also something that would educate him.

I was thinking maybe an simple word and picture book - one of those baby's first words books - that he may not be able to read yet but will last for a good while (like, until he starts preschool or something).

Here's a question: should I stick with everyday, easy to recognize objects like banket, hand, eye, etc. or should I start him down the more wayward path with words/pictures like ent, wyvern, elf, goblin...get the picture? The geeky side of me really wants to do the latter.

Any suggestions?

I don't have a PayPal or anything set up (thinking about it) so payment will have to be sent via snail mail ; cash and checks accepted.

2) Send me a note of what you'd like via DeviantArt or e-mail. Include your username, your e-mail, what you'd like and any specifications on how you'd want it presented/drawn, and if you want it colored. I will reply with payment information and will send you previews of your drawing. Finished pieces will not be sent until payment is received (see below).

3) Finished drawings will be scanned and sent to the e-mail provided upon receiving payment. You can post it, use it, whatever you'd like as long as you give me credit.
